Hi, I have a 1988 Sea Ray 268 Sundancer with 7.4 mercruiser. First time out this year she over heated at idle 5 minutes from the ramp. Immediatly shut down after noticing the temp was at roughly 200. I have a through hull raw water system and noticed I was not getting proper circulation. I know what to do about rebuilding my sea pump. However, after a lengthy wait on a tow and getting back to the pier, I wanted to see if I was clogged or if my pump was out. The starter made a noise, turned over once and she would do nothing afterwards, but make a little noise from around the starter. Not a clicking, more of a humming. At this same time I checked my batteries for a good connection and the terminals were extremely hot. New batteries this season. She ran fine last season and ran fine on the hard hooked up to the garden hose prior to launching her for the year. Anybody have ideas on problems or any damage that may be done. Thank You
