I just purchased a 2001 115, (on a 17' Aquasport) runs great. Quit running (just died) at cruising speed the other day. Took it to the dealer, they replaced the power pack (as I suspected).
I got the boat back, it starts fine idles great...but it seems like it is missing and sluggish from idle to about 2000-3000 RPM's....after that takes right off and cruises and runs WOT like a dream....
A neighbor told me this engine was designed not to run on all cylinders at low speeds.
Any ideas? Thoughts?
