Hey! Me again!!

So I did my impeller a month ago(before boating season) and was concerned about this lower unit oil that seemed to be leaking from the plate that the water pump housing attachs too.

I have left the kick in the up position now that I am using the boat and there is lower unit oil leaking out of the top front of where the lower unit meets the mid section.

Do I simply need to order a new gasket and install it? Does the water pump housing need to be un bolted or can it stay on that plate?

Thanks for any help!

Are you sure that the oil you are seeing is not unburnt fuel/oil mixture?
The drain you see leaking is for the exhaust housing to drain the water out, I think it would be hard to get gear oil up that high.

It very well could be! I will run it for a week or two more and check the condition/leve of the lower unit oil...
