Question on a Prop

I have a 1986 115 inline Mercury------ My question is when my motor is in neutral should the prop spin free??????????? When I run it on muffs my prop turns slowly while in neutral is that common.I have never noticed before.Can somone help me out.

Ayuh,... It's the viscosity of the oil draggin' the gears 'round... Perfectly normal...
