We have some problems with the shift gear.
We replace the impeller, put the handle in reverse an did the same on the lower unit. It's a rotating gear .
We put it back together . Shift it to Neutral and forward, but it won't go back to reverse.
What are we doing wrong. The lower unit shift bar has end with teeth with one one place a teeth less.
The upper gear bar is plastic where its fit's the lower gear bar, can it be that's the plastic is worn out?
