That was a new one tonight. I though they were an iBoats competitor!

Iboats won't let me type the name but they are now advertising on iboats site?

iboats doesn't get paid when you post a link.

The pop-ups have gotten out of control. Every freakin' time I change a page I have to close another one. Enuff already, guys!

Ayuh,.... There are on-goin' discussions 'tween the Mods, 'n Admins. 'bout the new pop-ups, as to their frequency, 'n their content....

The content is Bad for iboats, 'n the frequency is Bad for the Members... includin' this 1.....

I don't really care about them and I am not complaining about them. Its just that for that particular vendor, we can't type the name without it going to all ****** but the place is now an advertisor. Almost like having a Ford pop up on a Chevy site.

We are a boating site.

Google creates the pop-ups.

No one has control at the iboats level about it.

We certainly understand and empathize with everyone on the inconvenience the ads cause. Unfortunately, the ads are necessary as they pay for a large portion of the operating costs of the Forums. We wish our Forums could be ad free, but that simply isn't feasible if we want to continue operating the Forums. Now, if we can get Bill Gates or Warren Buffett to sponsor the Forums, we could definitely be ad free! :)

That explains it. Over tons is the only boating related pop I have seen so far. Seen tons of others not related to boating.

I am not complaining about the pop ups. I understand the need for the advertisement dollars.

I traded in my pop up and bought a travel trailer. Oh wait, wrong kind of pop up. My bad. Kidding.

I got hammered with popups this morning but it seems to have subsided this afternoon. Maybe they changed it.

Hey, its not a pop up, but that Dodge Ram outdoor advantage thing is really cool, fast and easy info for the sportsman.

Give it a click.

I won't use an ad blocker because I want to see what our members see. GNASH!

I do use an ad blocker. When there are complaints, I disable it temporarily to see what all the talk is about. Then turn it back on.
Makes ALL websites faster too.

I would rather pay to be a member here as to have those damn pop ups pop up everytime I open or close a thread
