Didn't find an answer by searching so here goes.....
How do you tow your bass boat with seats
1) seats on post
2) post removed and seat pin dropped in place on deck
3) other

mine are non-locking pin post seats.

Have you ever lost a seat in transit?

#2. Not quite a bass boat but the seats and bases are the same.

Any seat should be turned with the back into the wind and folded down. Put a bungee cord around it if it doesn't have a strap for that purpose.

I always take the pedistal out and drop the seat in the base. Less wind resistance = better gas milage. Unless I planned on site fishing for the day, then I will just leave the seats at home.

I remove the pedestal and put the seats down low and snapped.

Thanks all. I have been pullin' the post and dropping the seats w/strap snapped (#2). Didn't know if this was customary or overkill. Thanks again.

Re: bass boat towing question

Out of an abundance of caution, I throw both seats and pedestals in the lower area between the front and rear decks, out of the wind and less likely to jump out of the boat to ruin my and more importantly someone else's day...

I remove the posts and drop my seats into the base. Backs folded and straps snapped.
