im pretty new to the boat scene still so here is the deal guys.. i took the boat out for the first time since i owned it and everything worked fine.. except that the engine was getting hot and found out the hard way that 2 of the bellows had fairly good sixe splits in them... so i replaced the bellows and put a new impeller kit in... when i had the whole outdrive in the vise after puttin upper and lower together it seemed to shift just fine.. when i installed it on the boat it will engage in forward gear(prop will not spin freely clockwise) but it will not shift into reverse.. i can hear a clicking type noise when i try to get it in reverse but it wont engage. im wondering if something is wrong on the inside of the outdrive or if the cable is that far out of adjustment........ the black tube at the end of the shift cable with the set screw in it seems like it should have some sort of stop on it so it cant fully extend but maybe that is where the cable adjustment comes into play like i said any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated trying to get it going for this weekend!!! thanks guys
