Hi all. Just curious about the general weight break down between '50s-'60s era runabouts. Were/are semi-v tinnies and glassers of the same length comparable in weight, or does one tend to weigh more than the other (generally speaking)? About how much would an empty 60-something Starcraft runabout weigh in aluminum vs. f'glass? How about modern tinnies and glassers? Thanks.

tn.jpgAluminum will be lighter and not rotten. My past 1957 LoneStar El Dorado was 18ft with a 2 foot long transom bracket/ hard top was 780lbs less motor & gear. A lot of origianl sales info can be found on line at Fiberglass Classics.com and other sites. I'm sure Starcraft info would be easy to find.
