Hello guys newb in need of some help.
My issue is with is once I am going at speed or around 3K-3.5K 35 ish boat works great if I hammer down at that point it cavitating or slips have to drop the gas down and then I can jump back on it. If I am at a stop I can gas it 100% with no slipping. Trim was not up or incorrect...

So my question will the skeg affect this mine is more than 1/2 gone.
Prop dose not seem to be bent and in good shape.

Its a 21" 5.7 with Alpha 1.

This is the boat.
It was last on the water in 1992 I did a bunch of work to get going again just.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,... I'd suspect the Prop, if it's trimmed right,...

The Skeg has no bearing on the issue, or shouldn't....

I had trim down all the way also tried with trim slightly up with same out come.
I wanted to repair my skeg but can only so much at once prop really dose not look bad or bent.

Boat sat for 20 years I did new water pump kit new bellows and shift cable. No way my shift cable would make it jump out at speed seems to shift in and out of gear fine.

Also going at 30-34 making a hard turn will make it (slip) lose speed RPMs go up.

Well, a prop that is too large is very straining on the engine. Not sure what you are saying. You said you had a 21p in the first post -- no?
