Prop Pitch looking for some advise

I have an 80's model 60 hp Mariner outboard. I bought the boat and motor as a project and the propeller that was on it has hit some rocks or something. It is not only bent but has chunks missing. When I look at buying a new prop, I have to decide on what pitch I want. I don't have a clue. The motor will be going on a Weldbilt 1652 flat bottom aluminum boat. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

I'm going to say somewhere around a 15 pitch.
What size prop does it have now, numbers should be stamped on the prop?
Was the outboard on this size boat before?

I have a 17.5 ft. MV flatbottom with a 70HP merc and run a 13 3/4 X 15 pitch and it will let the motor run up to 5900 RPM witch is just over the max. rpm for the motor rated to run best at 4750 to 5500 RPM. You could try a 16 or 17 pitch and it should be in the ballpark for your needs. Best bet is to see if you can use one from a prop shop to test on your motor before buying one.
