bravo one jumping out of gear

twice now on the first throttle up coming out of the no wake zone did the drive jump to neutral. Idle from the dock to the end of the no wake zone, start throttling up, about 10 seconds or so and all of a sudden rpm jumps up and I lose all thrust. Pull the throttle back to neutral, go back into gear and all is good. Run the rest of the day just fine. This has happened both times I have been out this year. Any ideas why it does it once, then works fine after that?

I would think it is an adjustment and maybe as things warm up in the engine/outdrive, it is just enough. Check to see if you are getting the proper throw in the shift linkage at the engine.

I'll check the linkage as I did change the lower shift cable. Might just need a fine adjustment.
