i just bought this boat and knew she had a wait problem going in. I got it home today and started going over it. What I found after the water soaked foam was that every single drain that exited to a through hull, leaked into the hull (no sealent what so ever). She was well maintained by the P/O (elderly couple) who had idea what was going on below the deck.
So with that said... Does anyone know where i can find detail of the area between the deck and hull (stringer installation, bulkheads, lay-up)? I need to know so I can remove the foam w/o cutting wires, hoses, stringers ect...also if there are areas w/o foam so I don't cut into the deck for no reason. This is a 1995 boat w/5.0 I/O.

Thanks in advance for any info, input and advise

Call proline and see if you can get a building schematic from them. they are still in business. You will probably have to remove the deck to get in there and remove the foam, You can cut the deck without hitting anything by looking in an access hatch and seeing how thick the deck is and setting a skill saw to that depth or a 1/4 inch more than the thickness of the deck.

If you are looking at rebuilding her, you have come to the right place, lots of professional and non professional help here. Good luck.

Cruz I may be facing a similar situation with my PL WA. I emailed Faron at the factory, he was not able to get architectural drawings but did send me pictures of a boat during the build process showing where the stringers and bulkheads are located. PM me your email and I would be happy to forward what Faron sent me or check with him for info/photos of the FIST construction. Good Luck.
