Looking to purchase a boat soon and I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of boat this is and where could I find more information about it:

'92 Galaxy Bowrider, 230 Volvo I/O and egine. Performance trailer. Maintence and winterized by cert. mechanic. Interior swivel captain chairs and large sun deck.
Upholstery is showing wear and tear, rips. Good runner, always starts. $3000/b.o.

What do you want to know about it?

Seems you already know what it is.

I apparently Galaxy was owned by many different companies throughout its existence. I'm look for the correct manufacturer enginer/outboard options for that year to figure out what exactly is in it and the length of the boat. When searching under Galaxy, the last year they were made with name was 1991 and there was no 230 bow rider available.

230 volvo is the engine, it has 120 hp. It is either a 230A or a 230B, both are 120 hp.

Could be made by Galaxy Boat Co.

Or Galaxie Boats - CA,
or Galaxie Boat Works.

3 different companies.

You need to get the hull id number off the back of the transom to determine the manufacturer and the year..

This info should also be on the title and registration paperwork.

Its 20 years old, the name on it doesn't mean anything anymore. Maintenance and condition are all that matter. So to answer your question, ANY bowrider of that size/hp would be worth $3k or more if the floor and transom are solid, and the vinyl is in good shape. If the floor is unusually soft, no, not worth it.
