cleaning a gas tank

I have a couple ounces of 3 year old gas left after draining my tank in my 20 ft center console. I dont want to take a chance at running that gas through my motor. But i would have to cut my floor out to remove the tank. I am trying to get that fluid out somehow what would be the best way?

What you can get out is what you can get out, dump in some sea foam and go boating. Take a portable 6 gal tank just in case. Put in a new set of filters and take a extra one.

a few ounces mixed with most likely will be around 10-20 gallons of fresh (based on your boat size...)... that gas will be as good as any fresh gas at a gas station.

maybe pour the seafoam into the empty tank to break down any solids for a while...so that when you pour your new 15gallons in it mixes well/homogeneous instead of possible chunks/sludge getting picked up. although i would think your fuel filter would take care of it.

you have no worries! IMO

if you can get in by an access hole, such as through your fuel guage sending unit, try swabbing it out with a rag tied to a stick. Just don't lose the rag in there!

I agree don't worry about a few ounces fluid; it will mix in with the fresh gas, but I'd want to get out any sludge or solids.

Carb cleaner is good for breaking it down, too.
