I have a Johnson 35hp sea horse the weird thing is from the codes its a 81 but the model number starts with a G and ends with one its model G35RCIG serial E5559756 any help would be nice it runs but would be nice to know more about it thanks.

Actually, I've never figured out the first one either. But the last one signifies any mid-year engineering changes---IF there even were any changes. Otherwise, it is meaningless. The E in the serial number means it was made in the Evinrude plant.

Hey thanks for the help and you were right it does start with a J I went and looked for myself my grandads eyes just arent the same as they used to be! The only other thing still in contention is what to run for fuel mix 50-1 is what i have found but he insists its 25-1?

50/1 is correct, 25/1 if Granddad mixes certainly won't hurt it. He must like the smell of 2 strokes in the morning.
