I am trying to identify this boat that i am restoring...the owner thinks it is from the 1950's. no motor came with the boat on the side of the hull it barely reads Star Lite with a symbol of a star burst between the words. I will try and get a better picture of the side of the hull.

I am hoping someone out there knows what year this boat is. recommended motor, and how to fix/remove old rivets from this time period.

Re: Aluminum Boat Project

Dave,
http://www.fiberglassics.com/library/Lone_Star Didn't see anything with Star * Lite

The seats, bow plate and the transom look like the 1963 Lone*Star Big Fisherman I'm working on. Link in signature below.

Post some dimensions and maybe someone can help you with motor size.

Do a search on rivets and you will find a ton of info on replacing them. Re-bucking is a possibility also. Also look at Gluvit.

Nice project. Have fun. And welcome to iboats dry dock.

PS - Is Hussey Seating still operating in North Berwick.
