1977 Evinrude 115HP gears in lower unit

I have a 1977 115HP Evinrude model 115799S. It looks like all the gears are rounded off and will need to be replaced. Can anyone tell me what my options are? I am assuming I can either buy new gears or can I put on a new lower unit from a different year? Would a guy recommend getting used gears or would that be a bad decision? Any help or direction would be great. Also, what are all of the parts that I will need if I buy new?

Depends on what replacement gears are going to cost. I've seen some very good deals on NOS on fleabay. Search by part number for best results.
