Evinrude 110hp 1986?

Im looking for some help with the cold starting of this motor.
It is cold blooded so to speak, spitting sputtering and killing several times until it warms up.
Once it wars up, it runs good.
Besides replacing the plugs, Im looking for info on what I can try to start better.
Thanks in advance for any help!

You may want to look at the owners manual on starting procedure.

The engine runs lean after just starting. You have to keep periodically choking the engine till it warms up.

I have a '86 Johnson 110 - If I use the choke - fast idle lever in the manner the MOTOR likes it she starts fast & warms up quickly.
Learn the combo of the two your motor likes & i think you'll be fine--
