I just got a boat with a 2007 Merc 115 on it. Hours are about 150. There are a few issues I would like input on.
1: When the motor is trimmed up or down while underway the rpms drop until the trim tilt switch is released. More noticable a lower rpms off a plane so it's not associated with the trim of the boat. More an elecrical issue. Seems odd.
2: Unless the trailering lever is engaged when the engine is tilted right up for moorage etc it slowly drops back into the water. Takes a couple days.
3: At higher RPMs it sounds very "valvy". I've been running Yamahas for the last 10 yrs so it maybe just a different sound or pitch. Pretty subjective question I know but thoughts welcome.
4: Could this be a rebranded Yamaha. Don't know what years Merc had that relationship.
