Hello, I have a 1979 25hp seahorse manual crank. I was wondering if converting it to electric is simple as bolting on starter and solenoid and adding key switch. Since basically all ur doing is turning the flywheel with a starter instead pulling it with rope the fire should still be going to plugs. I dont see where all the other electrical devices wold be needed. Your thoughts please??

Yes, it's possiable to to that. In fact you don't even need a key switch, just a push button to start it. Of course you woun't have any type of charging system to charge the battery. The battery on mine lasts quite a few trips before it needs to be recharged.
