Hello i have a chance to pick up an Evinrude Elto motor.Its s/n 4301-04152 which I believe is a 1939 1.8hp. It's in rough shape and needs TLC. Any idea on how to get parts and is this motor called the ACE? was it pretty common? thanks

Best way to get parts is to find another same motor for parts. Some parts are available. Best bet is AOMCI.org for help.

You are correct on you year/HP. It is in fact called the ACE.

Have any pics? What do you need for it?

I am hoping to pick up the littel evinrude Elto next week.I just love the old outbards. My outboards now are in the 50's and i thought i would try out an ELTO. Its not running ,i hope to get her to run and try it on my 12 alumimum rowboat. It will be mostly for display with my other outboards. Thanks for asking!!!.....john
