I have a 2001 four winns 260 horizon with a 8.1 volvo duo prop. This past weekend I went out for the first time and it started off the trailer fine and we ran around for a bit then anchored in a cove. when we went to leave it was dead. Nothing when i turned the key to start. I jumped across the starter with the key on and it started fine. I used a light and checked when the key was turned to start and I have power coming from the key. I thought it may be the neutral saftey switch so I wired the the 2 wires together and still nothing. I assume it is the starter/solenoid but I wanted to check with someone else before I remove the started as it is not easy to get to.
Thank you in advance for any advise/help

Was afraid of that. No wiring diagram for the A model, the B model had a completely different fuse and relay setup than your A model.
You will need to verify any fuses or circuit breakers are good, use a meter, don't assume by looking at fuses and pushing reset buttons on circuit breakers. Follow the procedures in the link I posted earlier, and you should find the problem.

It ended up being the relay in the fuse block on top the engine!
Thanks for your help
