Hey everybody,
I was cleaning the intake manifold on my '72 Johnson 85hp when I noticed that the small orifice at the very bottom (the one that is connected to the silencer plate with a short hose) was completely clogged.
My question is what's the real function of that design?
Obviously it has something to do with pressure in the crankcase.
Also, what would being plugged up cause as far as problems go?
I've never had the motor run yet but I am going through the thing with a fine tooth comb looking for anything that would effect optimal performance.
Thanks,
With Poseidon as my witness, one day that thing will run!
