I have this outboard motor , Its a 2000 year 200 HP Suzuki looks pretty good but it has a frozen or stuck power
head. Is this motor worth being rebuilt and can my auto mechanic friend do this with in reason price wise say for 500.00
in parts , I heard a Suzuki is a very hard engine to rebuild , Is there a web site that I can go to that will walk me though the rebuilding procedure thanks John

It really depends on what "stuck" means. Do you know the history of the motor? Or have more details on why it's "stuck?"

If the piston rings are rusted to the cylinder walls, then maybe you can get it to move by spraying some penetrating oil in each spark plug hole and put a wrench on that big flywheel nut on top of the motor and try to get it to turn. If the rings are rusted to the cylinders, then there may be more corrosion on crankshaft and rod roller bearings. A rebuild on that motor would be pretty darn expensive, parts and labor. You can buy rebuilt powerheads that will go on it. Hopefully you may be able to free it up!
