I have been a member since 2007 but I believe this is my first post. I?m on here all the time and have rebuilt a few boats with the information on here. Someday I would like to do a hull extension just because that is my favorite post and I have been watching since the beginning.
Anyways I have a 1971 Sidewinder 16?-0? jet boat. It has a 455 Olds in it with a Jacuzzi drive. So far I have put new stringers, floor and transom in it. My plan is to build a covered engine hatch to go across the entire back. I was hoping someone could help me with the design since this boat never came with one. I want to put (2) buckets and a rear bench.
I will be putting up pics of the last few years of work later today. I finally have some cash to throw at this by fixing and selling a few other boats to raise money. The end is in sight.
