Hi I just got the carb apart and the i removed all the plastic parts , but then I removed the carburator lead shot it was not in it . Will this matter if its gone . The part number is 304201 from omc . can I get one from the dealer for evinrude for a diferent model will it matter , or do I have to use the same part number . My carb kit from napa did not have one in it . I think thats my problem with low idle . what replacement number can I use . I can find them on ebay for cheap money . But im going to have to wait a week for them . so can you tell me how to solve this problem .

It's the size that matters, not what model you get it from. Find one the right size and use.

@daviet

So whats the ball for anyway . will it matter if I leave it out and not replace it . it never had it in there . but the parts list form marineengine.com shows it in the carb . if i replace it My carb should run the right way .
