1985 volvo penta altinator

I have a 1985 volvo penta 570 dp it is a chevy block. I need to replace the altinator the problem is i do not have the old one.
can anyone help with a part # or any information that would help. Also i do not and never have been able to figure out the aq # for this engine. any help would be greatful

For one thing, it's not an AQ series engine, and it's not from 85. The 570A first came out in 89 and were used through 93.

The OEM part number is 873770 and lists for over $600. There are much less expensive aftermarket alternators that will work perfectly, for a lot less money. You have to make sure the mountings are the same, not just the words universal alternator on it. If the mountings are off the pulleys and belts won't line up.
Also, the 105 A alternator requires heavier wire. The OEM wiring is setup for only 60A/
