The bracket for my water separating fuel filter has four ports (2 out, 2 in), as such:
Left Right
(out) to fuel pump (out) capped
(in) capped (in) tank fuel line
Any reason why I could not use the other output port (ie: switch the cap and run out the right side to the fuel pump)? I would like to reroute my fuel line so I can use a standard fuel line rather than have one custom made. I would have clearance issues the way the line is routed now unless I had a fuel line made; the parts are no longer available. I purchased a universal fuel line (with same diameter and same fittings) and other's recommendations, and it would make sense to use parts that I can get.
SB Engine is a '78 Merc 228 (original, yes still running.... mostly)
Thanks in advance.
