Rebuliding a 1969 evinrude 115hp engine V4 and I'm in the process of putting the block back together and was wondering if I could reuse the spaghetti seals between the two halves of the crankcase or if I can use a gasket sealer such as permatex high temp sealer. Running a thin line on each halves of the case. Same with the powerhead to lower leg, that gasket. I ordered a spaghetti seal using the factory evinrude part number and the seal seems to thin and not long enough therefor I'd like to see if I can get away with doing this.
