My problem started last summer in July, when attempting to put the boat on plane, the engine power would slowly gain RPM's then catch and whiplash me up on plane. It might do it once a day or several or not at all. Then on my last trip last fall, could never get full power to put it up on plane. Engine starts and idles fine, Replaced the VRO pump as this had fixed a very similar problem in 2002. Not very mechanical, so looking for a starting point on what to check. Thanks!
