I have installed a water separater filter where I previously didn't have one on my 1989 Sea Ray 200 with a 3.0 Mercruiser. Thanks to all your help here. I was wondering about the existing filters. There is one in the fuel pump and I believe in line at the carb. Do these need to be removed, replaced, or just forget about them?
Thanks again for all your help.

Normally they are just replaced and left in place when the water separating filter is installed. Then you know they are clean They shouldn't need to be replaced after that unless your WSFF gets plugged up.
