Hey guys i have a 94 30hp Johnson outboard motor and cant pin point this black greasy oily substance running down the side of the motor next to the water outlet tube, any thoughts.
When you say " water outlet tube" are you talking about the gear case or on top towards the power head. If it's down by the gear case it's most likely unburned fuel and oil. That's normal.
