After Market Outdive-reliability?

I'm considering purchasing an after market upper and lower for my 260 horse mercruiser. The units are on ebay for 1195.00 shipped with full one year warranty. The cases and parts are SEI, all american. Anyone have any experience with these?<br />Nick

If these are Sterndrive Engineering. I have used them and had good luck. This subject has come up more than once....do a search, you'll get the full story.

I am using their lower unit for a year now. <br /><br />Have opened it up because of damage caused by the Merc upper housing. <br /> <br />All american parts.... not quite. There are bearings from China. Some parts look like they're from GLM or Sierra. Overall, I've got no complaints and will buy again if I need to.
