cooling system 60 6hp mercury

I bought a mercury 60 6hp. Put it in a barrel. Started easy but couldn't see any water exiting any where. Motor got hot shut down. Put in new impeller. Still no water exiting any where. Tore down and cleaned all water jakets. still no water exiting. Is there a pisser on this motor. Where does the water exit on this unit. seriel number is 2467754 don't know the year. it is a mercury 60 6hp.

When you took off the lower.The pipe that fits into the water pump.I put a garden hose on mine to flush it out.You we see where its going if you did this with yours.The water has to be going somewhere.Or your pump aint pumpin.
