Anyone know how difficult it is to run wires through the idle circuit? Just wondering if I should attempt this or have a marine engine mechanic do it.

Not to difficult to do. Are you overhauling the carb or just trying to get the engine to idle.
Do you have a manual for your engine?

Just trying to get the engine to idle. I had an online manual subscription through Seloc, but I let it lapse. I will be renewing it though. Is that a good manual?

I tend to like the factory manuals better, they cost a little more, but are worth it.
Make sure to remove the core plug on the top of the carbs and make sure the passages are clear in there.
Have you checked the compression and spark on the engine, something I always do first.

I have not checked the compression or spark, but the engine runs fine once I get it going. It will start fine, but stalls out when I put the engine in neutral to try to go to forward or reverse.

Can compression issues/spark issues cause it not to idle, but start and run ok?
