502 manifold casting plugs and elbows

Intake hose came off the water pump and the exhaust manifolds got pretty hot. After new water pump, the plastic plugs on the manifolds and riser as well as the elbows with the drains are leaking. I'm going to replace with brass oem plugs and elbows. Should I just put them in or should a thread sealant or teflon be used?

Ayuh,... It won't hurt to coat 'em with form-a-gasket....
