I have a 1978 Starcraft open bow that I am restoring. The boat has a 115HP Johnson outboard on it and I just recently installed a CMC power tilt and trim. The issue is this causes the engine to sit 6" back and now the steering cable is too short. Do I have to replace the entire assembly and if so, how do I order the correct length? The cable encased in plastic that appears to have pre-made cable ends that connect to the engine and sterring column.
