I want to install a 3 terminal lighted LED rocker switch to my 12V livewell pump. I have came from my battery to my switch and it lights on and off but I do not know how to hook my livewell pump to the switch. I have used 2 out of the 3 terminals on the back. I have 2 wires coming from the livewell pump and don't know what to do with them. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 12 volt wiring

Since your switch is lighted, and the indicator works properly you have the +12 volt feed and the ground for the indicator light connected properly. That would account for two of the three terminals. Good so far. The ground wire on the livewell pump connects to ground wherever you find it. Ground is the negative terminal of the battery or one of the ground connections on the ground buss if you have one). The +12 volt wire from the livewell pump connects to the remaining terminal on the switch. You need a fuse in the wire running from the battery to the switch. The fuse needs to be within six inches of the battery.
