I live in South Carolina, DNR states that any boat that is not manpowered is required to have a title. I recently bought a boat that was used by the previous owner with oars. The hull has numbers and letters on it but nothing that I can find an old title with. The numbers/letters are: K[A]5865E, the A was in a white box but worn down and only an outline remains. The boat seems very old. It is an aluminium V-hull that is 11.5 feet long. I am trying to get a new title through DNR but if anyone can point me in a direction where i might find an old title for it that would be great. If there is any information that I am missing that will help you help me, let me know.

Thanks,

Ryan

Your DNR should have all the info you need to title it. Talk to them directly. May need to have the previous owner fill out some paperwork.
