After some pizza, cake and ice cream the family laid down for a mid afternoon nap while Ethan and I decided to go for a drive. We ended up hauling home this 14' SmokerCraft Utility. Check it out!

Cool,.........

Doesn't look like there is much to rebuild except for the transom and maybe some paint, That will get you on the water faster,....

I bet this one will be a TILLER!!!!!,..................

Good to see things are back on tract, Happy Easter,..

Yup, I have a plan! First, I am going to do the bare minimum to get this boat on the water for this spring. Which means:

-New transom
-New tires, lights, safety chains, winch strap, bunks and a few other things for the trailer

That's pretty much it. Well, I need to find an outboard too. A 25 would be a great match for this hull. Or, I could grab a 15 and have it pull double duty as a kicker for the Islander. We'll see how that shakes out.

Then, this winter I'll rebuild the whole boat and get it looking good. Should be a pretty straight forward project!

You didn't take it out for row?

Well, there's only one ore lock so I would have just been spinning eh:rolleyes:

Hose her out, slap a transom in it, hang a motor on it, and fish it dude.

Then when you get back finish that Islander.

Looks like a good little utillitinny to start from. Thinking you ought to be done with it by next weekend. :D

Jeez...I turn around and you score another boat...could be good for PMC...another distraction to keep you from training...

Check out this stuff for the transom and any other wood replacement...http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0oG...h12k/EXP=1334035247/**http://www.newwood.com/

Being discussed on the forum at this time...still getting details from the folks there, but it looks like a good choice for this restore...
