1996 Force 75 hp single carb. In idle the tack shows about 600 rpm when i slip it into gear it wants to die, to make idle adjustment do i remove plastic end of idle rod from carb and adjust it out to make rod longer then snap it back on to carb and tighten jam nut? Hope this makes some s?ance. Thanks

Re: idle speed

Item numbers 4&5 is how you turn idle up or down.
Loosen jam nut then turn screw in clockwise to raise idle or lower idle.
You may need to perform a link and sink found at the first of forum page10.jpg.

Re: idle speed

Thanks Bentle the screw is turned all the way-in looks like the screw has been lost and another put in its place only a little shorter will replace it with one a 1\4 longer. I made the adjustment at 15 and 21. Thanks for four time.
