Shown above, outlined in yellow, is the part I am missing. I believe it is called a throttle stop (at least that is what we hillbillies call it). My motor is a 1979 Evinrude 115 V4. I have looked everywhere I can think of online to find how to order a replacement but am having no luck whatsoever. Anyone out there have an idea where I can get one of these for my motor?

Thanks in advance.

Are you missing the retainer plate? If so, you can make one out of some plate metal. Just needs to hold the cables in place...

Yes, that is what I am missing. I have sheetmetal handy but I am not sure of the size dimensions to craft one. Anyone know those dimensions?

Thanks for the help.

The mtr shown in your pic is not a 1979 115. If it is, go to shop.evinrude .com and look up your mtr. Says part is still available.

Re: Help identifying a missing part

I borrowed the picture to show the part that I am missing. Is the part listed at the web site listed as a retainer plate? If so, what diagram is it on so I can order the correct part. Or, if any has one they can measure and let me know what the dimensions are so I can make one at work.

Thanks

Like Boobie says, 323400 is still available. Eight bucks.
Go to shop.evinrude.com, drill down into the pages, select your motor and look on the intake manifold section.
It is reference number 37, "CLAMP, Throttle shift cable."
