89 - 50 hp johnson 2 stroke rebuilt carburator and all hoses replaced

I was told this was necessary due to damage from gas. Now that this is done, should I add anything to the gas to cause future damage?

I always add Marine Stabil every time I fill up. Get it from Walley World.

Stabil if it is going to sit, or just in general. A lot of guys mix in SeaFoam with every tank as well to keep things nice and clean.
