Hello all,
Wanted to know where I could get an oil bypass kit for my 01 merc. When I had the boat rigged, they did a basic bypass by just cutting off the sensor from the oil canister and leaving the lines pluged to the canister. I noticed there is always a little bit of loose oil under the cowling and want to be sure I have things done right (not sure if the bypass kit would make a difference). What I actually did last week was remove the oil canister from the engine all rogether and plug the hose that attached to the bottom and put a clamp on it. Any thoughts or insites as to the efectiveness of what I did would be greatly appreciated.
Should I leave it as is or by the bypass kit.
Thank you,
