Does anyone know of any easy ways to get a bit more power out of these motors? I understand that the 25 and 30hp are basically the same motor, and have read there are ways to make the 25 into a 30 but have not seen anything specific to the MFS25A.
And yes wild does not have two L's but I can't find a way to correct or change it... So I'm Willd Bill... with two L's...

2 strokes 25/30 costs peanuts to upgrade, 4 strokes are much expensive, will need at least a carb swap and some electronics too, the experts should provide a proper tech answer.

The MFS25A is a completely different motor from the old 2-stroke. The MFS25A uses 3 carbs. All 3 would need to be replaced to bump to 30 hp.

Re: 2002 MFS 25A Tohatsu

Yup. BTW, 500 would not cover it:
3R0032101M CARBURETOR, LOWER ASSY F30A $222.99
3R0032041M CARBURETOR, CENTER ASSY F30A $222.99
3R0032001M CARBURETOR, UPPER ASSY F30A $222.99

So, even with a substantial discount, you would still be looking at over $600. Of course, you can't buy a 5 hp ob for $600...
