VRO question

I have a 2001 Johnson 100 hp Model # J100WPLSIF

I got this motor for a good price but it did not have the fuel system on it. I've since bought all the parts that I need and am now in the process of hooking everything up...well trying anyways. If I didn't want to use the VRO can I bypass it and just pre-mix? Someone told me you can do that but still need the oil tank as it pumps oil to specific parts of the motor. Is this true? I just thought it mixed the gas and oil. Also I've found schematics for the fuel system but they don't give me a real good idea where all these little hoses connect. Any where I can find a better diagram for all the hoses?
Thanks!

Re: VRO question

You should be be fine disconecting vro and sensor wire and just pre mix. Vro does not place oil anywhere that a premix won't.

Re: VRO question

No need for the oil tank. Just premix as if the motor never had the VRO. Post a pic of what you have and where you are not sure of what hoses go where and we should be able to walk you though it..
