Sounds like you are turning her into a unique boat! Why not start with a SS or soothing similar? Sounds like it would save you a bunch of work!

Re: 1963 Starchief retrofit

I have been looking for a 18-20' outboard aluminum hull for almost a year, that was reasonably priced for what it was going to be used for. There was a bare Lund for 3500 vs the Starcraft for 275$. Guy had two motors listed and pictured on Craigs with a side note that he also had a aluminum boat that he was also selling. It is now sitting in my driveway. The biggest pain will be drilling out the rivets, transom already ready for new wood and the floor needs to be replaced.

Ah man, I really hate to see a Starchief cut up. Oh well. Ya gotta do what you gotta do. If it was incredibly rare and desirable, you wouldn't have it!

I hate to clip the cabin as well, there was nothing out there besides the Chief. I do have a 67 Holiday / 66 Power Cat/67 and 58 Mfg so it is not something that brings joy to me to have to modify her ,but she will still be in use vs some scrap yard.

Sent you a PM.
Are the upper & lower windshields similar to that on a Cheiftain?
I might also be interested in any other odds and ends you wont be needing with the cabin removed.

Thanks

I just sent you a PM but it says your box is full.

I will definatley take both windshields, the price is fair.
Do you have any pictures yet?

When would be the best time to plan my road trip to get them?

Thanks
