Water Pressure Gauge on a 79' Merc 80

My plan is to rig up a pressure gauge to this engine, I see there is a blank in the head/cover between cyl 3 & 4 to attatch one to.

Anyone know off hand what the thread and size is?

Should be 1/8" pipe

Thanks for the reply but Im looking for the thread size and type for the elbow that screws into the water cover.

You're talking about where the pipe plug is located correct? If so the threads are 1/8" pipe (npt)

A pressure gauge kit will normally have a 1/8" NPT fitting
