Stator ohms test 1993 60 hp

I am working on a 1993 Mariner Tracker pro series 60 hp. Melted the CDI box down, would still run but drained battery dead sitting at home. looks like the 2 yellow stator wires got hot at the bullet connectors going to cdi. What would a proper OHMS value be for the stator wires disconnected from cdi testing through the stator????? Wow that was wordy LOL :facepalm:

Check the CDI electronics website. It will give you what you are looking for as far as testing the stator with an ohm meter. The 2 yellow wires feed AC to the rectifier/regulator for recharging the battery. Test your rectifier.

I'm hoping he is renamed the rectifier a 'CDI box'

I expect his ignition is fine, and he'll find his rectifier is shorted, killing his battery.

Hopefully it hasn't caused the stator damage,yet.
